Blane Judd is Executive Director of BLTK Consulting, which supports businesses in managing strategy. He has forty years of experience in Power, Utility and Building Services Engineering. For the last two years, he led the campaign to raise the profile of engineering technicians in the UK.
He is the Chairman of the IET Built Environment Sector Group and he also instigated the formation of the IET LVDC editorial panel, which published the Code of Practice for Low and Extra Low Voltage Direct Current Power Distribution in Buildings, now adopted by the IEC.
Blane was the Group Chief Executive of the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA, formerly HCVA). He served as an executive board member of the World Plumbing Council, promoting the linkage between public health and sanitation to global audiences.
For his international work he was awarded a Fellowship of City and Guilds. Blane is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the IET, CIBSE and CIPHE, where he was a chief executive for five years.
